Quick summary
Last updated: June 8, 2026
BeanDial is built to help you track coffee brews, beans, recipes, ratios, grind settings, and tasting notes directly on your device.
Information we collect
BeanDial does not collect personal information through an account, server, or web service.
Information you choose to enter
The app may store coffee-related information that you manually add, such as:
- Coffee bean names, roasters, origins, roast dates, and notes.
- Brew entries, including method, dose, yield or water amount, grind setting, brew time, temperature, rating, and taste notes.
- Saved recipes and instructions you create.
- App preferences such as default brew method or temperature unit.
This information is used only to provide the app’s features on your device.
How your data is stored
BeanDial stores app data locally on your device using iOS local storage. The app does not send your coffee journal to a BeanDial server.
- Your brews, beans, recipes, and settings remain on your device.
- If you delete the app, iOS may also remove the app’s local data.
- If you use device backup features provided by Apple, your local app data may be included in those backups depending on your iOS settings.
Children’s privacy
BeanDial is a general coffee journaling utility and is not directed to children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
You are in control of the information stored in BeanDial.
- You can add, edit, or delete brews, beans, and recipes inside the app.
- You can delete all app data from the app settings if that option is available.
- You can remove the app from your device to remove local app data, subject to your iOS backup settings.
- You can choose whether to export your data if export tools are available.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if BeanDial changes how it handles data. The updated version will be posted with a new “Last updated” date.
